SNAILS - ESCARGOT - MERCH - AND MORE
Vomit step pioneer and Dubstep DJ Snails came out with a new song on 03.08.2024 which means one thing for me...That’s right, I looked at some of the Snails merchandise.
The song is a part of Snails side project dedicated to house music and is named ‘Escargot’. That’s the title of the song too, in case you were wondering. Which I know you were. Snails hasn’t dropped an album since 2019 so I was disappointed to see that the single wasn’t from an album, but whatever, that means there should be one on the way.
Some of the more interesting things I saw available in the merch store were T-shirts that said, “Fuck Salt.” ... Yes, I know, that’s absolutely one of the greatest things I’ve ever seen on a T-Shirt. I had the same thought. Just, prime grade A t shirt. Fuck Salt, yeah. Agreed. “Ride the Slime” was another great t shirt quote I saw, those snail puns, just... get me every time.
You can also buy bundles that include T shirts, a hoodie and some other things. That was the first time a saw a musician offering that on their merch page.
Moving on, the other thing that caught my eye was a Snails comic book. Snails has a comic book apparently? While we're on the subject...where the f%#k is every musician and their mother getting these comic book deals anyway? Snails is legit like the 5th musician I’ve written about in a row who has a comic book deal. I'm not going to lie; I kind of want my own comic book now. From what I could pull up it looks like the comic books story is attached to most of the visuals Snails has been using for his live shows and lends a helping hand to tell the story of Snails, the dubstep (Vomit step) DJ. I never would have guessed Snails had lore, but here we are. That’s great and everything, I just didn't see it coming.
The last honorable mention I’m going to make is that that were like three new t-shirts dedicated to the release of the new song “Escargot”, and that’s more than other artists I’ve covered have done to promote their new songs.
I’ve mostly seen the song mainly mentioned on Spotify, but I also saw it available on SoundCloud and YouTube. Feel free to type it in wherever you listen to music if you enjoy House Music or Dubstep. Escargot was released on Hexagon Records (www.hexagonhq.com). You can check their merch as well right here > https://shop.dondiablo.com/collections/hexagon
Hexagon is owned by musician Don Diablo and was created to bridge the gap between House music and Contemporary art.
If all that is stuff, you're not interested in or a bit out of your price range, then you could always buy a sticker. They're pretty awesome.
